The musical salon of XIX century
Description:
Concert dedicated to the lyric opera, not only Italian, which roam freely from
Bizet’s
Carmen or
Mozart’s
The Magic Flute, to some masterwork of the Italian opera like
La Traviata and
The Barber of Seville. Beside the violin, cello and piano trio, the ensemble is also composed by a flute, some solo singers and a narrator. Proposing a chamber version of the XIX century opera, the concert is an amazing trip through some of the most virtuoso and original transcriptions ever written to underline all the technical possibilities of musicians and singers.
The Ensemble Giordano will make his debut with “The musical salon of XIX century” on April 30, 2010 at Carnegie Hall in New York.
