The ensemble Umberto Giordano of Foggia (Italy) is a chamber group composed by musicians with an important career, rich of prestigious collaborations; his components have played, as soloist as well as in chamber groups, in Italy, Japan, Australia, England, France, Russia, Belgium, United States, and many other countries, in cities like New York, Sydney, S. Petersburg, Vilnius, Tel Aviv, London, El Cairo, Tokyo, Paris, Lyon, performing in important concerts and collaborating with internationally known artists like Enrico Dindo, Uto Ughi, Josè Carreras, Raina Kabaivanska, Roberto Benigni, Jerry Lewis, Bart Bacarach, Sergio Castellitto, Mirella Freni, Liza Minelli, Charlie Haden, Carla Fracci, Andrea Bocelli, Michele Placido and many others.
Appreciated by the public and by the critics for their always original and refined programs, often premières, proposed with self-product performances, the ensemble ranges from classical music to lyric opera, from chamber versions of stage-designed operas to performances where music, narration, dance and other arts interact in a new and always different way.
Set up in 2002, the Ensemble “U. Giordano” has played concerts and made tours in Italy, Israel, Korea, Turkey, Sweden, Lithuania, India, and has already defined tours in the United States, Central Europe and China in 2010 and 2011.
